starrylites: (OOTP trio ready to fight)
You know, I made new icons for myself, but where are they? Oh, at home on my comp. Where's my comp? Oh, not connected to the internet. Gah. Flash drive...don't leave home without it.

Moving has thus far gone smoothly. My table, TV, and kitchen things are still at University Villa. I met the roommates yesterday...they seem to be pretty cool. Han is now living in my room, which is smaller than I thought it was, but oh well. Kendra and Sasha had better love me for letting them have the bigger rooms. There is no room for my table in my bedroom. It's going to have to live elsewhere. But there's nothing I can do about it. I can see the lack of air conditioning and my roommates' absolutely cheap nature also being a problem, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. I don't care if they don't like it, I'm going to be using that swamp cooler, man! If they won't give me the opportunity for internet, they had better give me at least the freakin' swamp cooler.

Still trying to sell the apt contract. Really, Provo people, I'm serious, if you know someone, send them my way. I really thought Saturday was it, but then they never called me back. Come on!

I got put on the spot in class today. So it was the first day, Cutchins went around learning everybody's names, and when he got to me on the roll, he asked me if I got into that Writing for Television Workshop class, and I told him no (story of my college career), and he banged his hand down on the desk for me. I felt good about that. We proceeded to make fun of the Media Arts department, then he informed the whole class that I was going to be a movie writer someday and if I wasn't, I was doing myself a disservice. Yeah, I got stared at. Nobody else he knew in the class got that kind of intro. Still, good to know there are professors on this campus that believe in me.

Speaking of my college career and getting rejected at every turn, Chapman sent me graduate school info in the mail yesterday. So as I've been grad school hunting, I've learned one very important thing: my GPA sucks. I mean, I knew this before, but really, it sucks. Most want a 3.0...hard to do when you've currently got 5 fails. Yeah, I'm fixing one of those this term, one I can't because it's an R class and it didn't cancel out, another I'll fix probably in the winter, and the other two...well, I wish I could erase CS from my memory, and my college transcripts. But can't have it all. Chapman (which has been high on my grad schools list for a while) will take me provisionally with a 2.5, but I've got to pass the GREs, preferrably with flying colors. Yep, we know what my nemesis is going to be this fall. Oh joy. I mean, as it stands, I can't even apply to Fresno State, they who accepted me without an application...do you realize how much that depresses me? Anyway, the quest to raise my grades moves forward.

Okay, so in the next couple of days...tomorrow is the return of writing group. yay! The rest of this week will be spent making the apartment presentable and clean. yay! Thursday night Ashlee, Bonnie, and I are going to Spider-Man 3. yay! Kendra and Sasha will return at some time in the near future before the end of the week. yay! Wal-Mart trip tomorrow. yay!

If I had something to download to, I'll download some stuff so I could, you know, photoshop when I got home. But did I remember to do that? No...

I'll post up pictures of the new room as soon as it's done, probably with some pics of the house.

Memo to self: Get headphones back from Ashlee so I can watch things on campus.
