I walked to school in -4 degree weather. For you people that live in the Northern USA (or you Canadians who I accidentally excluded), you're used to this, I'm sure. For me, the Californian who grew up wearing a sweatshirt only when absolutely necessary (and sometimes not even then...yeah, I'd wear short sleeves when it was 38 outside with 80% humidity). When it's -4, you really can't not where a coat. This is tramatic for me. I was so tired of taking the stupid thing on and off earlier today that when we came out of Barnes & Noble I said screw it and didn't put it on. Yeah, it was 5 degress, but you know what? I don't care.

Grandma's surgery went well. The doctors are confident that they got all the cancer. Very happy news! Way happy news.

I just bought myself The Jerusalem Bible. It has books in it I've never seen before. Well, I knew they existed, but I'm used to the King James Version. We had to buy something that wasn't the KJV for Bible as Lit. Should be interesting.

Anyway, off to square dancing. Yee haw!

In case anybody was wondering, I made it back safe and sound. As usual, no family offered to pick me up at the airport, all just wanted to make sure grandma wasn't the one picking me up. Really, you'd think that with 5 sets of aunts and uncles all living between me and the airport someone could pick me up. No...they're all convinced that it's cheaper for me to get the shuttle...um...doesn't cost $35 for 1/3 tank of gas, sorry guys. Nice try, though. But enough ranting.

I'm exhausted and my cough's back in full now that I'm in the drier climate. Bah. So, if anyone was expecting to see me on tonight you are gravely mistaken and I will be spending my evening on the couch watching either Superman Returns, Dead Man's Chest, or the Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers pilot followed by some Lois & Clark episode of my choice once I decide what kind of mood I'm in. Any and all are welcome to join me (cuz so many of you are driving distance away, lol).

Regularly scheduled programming to return tomorrow.
