I know, I haven't updated. I've really kinda felt like I had no reason to update. Finals were finals, la dee da. I did all right. Disappointed with my score on my film test, but oh well. It won't result in a terrible grade, I don't think. I hate tests with only 40 or so questions. I'd rather have 100; I do better.
Anyway, got home safe and sound. Had an adventure, though. I tried to book the shuttle during the bad hail/snow storm and guess what? The entirety of the Salt Lake and Utah valleys freaked and got through before I did, so yeah, no ride. The two roommates still left had to work and it was late enough I didn't want to call anybody else, so I planned on taking the bus. I knew what I needed to do. Needed to get to the 811 and ride it up to TRAX, ride TRAX to downtown, hop on the 550. This I knew. I figured out the times, everything was going great until I got off TRAX. I got off a block too late and ended up at Temple Square. Hello, Crossroads is a HOLE. That was a news. So anyway my most valuable lesson was the downtown bus stops do not label what buses stop there, you've just gotta know in the fare free zone. So I missed my bus the first time trying to find the bus stop, and the second time I only ended up in the right place because I asked some nice Spanish guy. He was cool, we had a good talk. But it was freakin' cold, holy crap. I didn't get warm again Friday until I had climbed into bed.
Yesterday was fairly uneventful, but we did go Christmas shopping. The store wasn't that horrible, actually. It was a nice change. So I found what I was looking for because I couldn't find it in Provo and all was well. By the way, folks, if I owe you a Christmas present, you're getting it after Christmas this year. I know that's fairly standard, but meh, we all know I have problems getting gifts done on time and such.
Church was fun today. I got drafted to play the organ as usual, and a couple of people did not get to hear me play over the summer so they were genuinely surprised. Got plenty of hugs because they love it when I come home, and it was really nice. Played the piano in Primary, too, and they went caroling into Sunday School. Haha, I got some great stares. Christy told me to go ahead of the pack and warn them we were coming and have me start the cue. So I went in, walked up to the front of the room and just stood next to Dad waiting for him to finish his sentence. The half of the room who knew me looked curious and the half that didn't have a clue who I was looked perplexed. I told Dad he had carolers coming so he put the lesson on hold and I just sat down at the piano and started to play. The kids came in and did their cute little thing in their off key glory. Haha, it was really cute. Anyway, good day at church.
Well...no real plans except the grandparent's place on Tuesday after Christmas morning, so until Friday I will be studying for the GRE. Gah! But I'll be fine, I'll be fine, I've just got to keep telling myself that...and find a quiet corner somewhere in my house. Haha, yeah right.
