Mar. 6th, 2007 09:08 amJust when I think my life is going to return to a normal state, it just doesn't happen. I hit the midterms rush behind everyone else, but at this rate the midterms rush is going to last all the way through finals. Gah...
No time to write for writing group, no time to write my Clois fic, no time to even finish my R/Hr chapter. Sadness!!
Healthwise I've not been so good the last few days. Friday I finally had my appointment to talk to the doctor and...well, yeah. So he gave me three meds for my acne and one for the asthma. I haven't started the morning cream yet, but my face is constantly burning from the night cream. I know it'll pass, I've been in this stage before, my problem is once I get passed the burning/peeling stage my face tends to get worse again. Damn genetics. Asthma meds I haven't been on long enough to notice a difference. All I know is something I'm taking (be it the pill or the inhaler) is making me constantly nauseous and making me short of breath. Sometimes I can stand it, I'm fine, other times...like yesterday...I ended up taking a two hour nap yesterday MORNING! Yeah, and that nap wiped me out for the rest of the day, so I didn't make it to any classes yesterday. Sucky? Oh yeah. Today I managed to get some milk down, but I have no hopes for food at the moment.
We found somewhere to live!! It took a while. Sasha, Kendra, and I have become spoiled with our bedrooms meant for two, so it seemed that every place we looked out that claimed to have large private rooms in truth did not. We're sad, pathetic people, I know. We found this cute little house. It's a good 8 blocks from campus, but that's really not that far of a walk. Twenty minutes tops. On nasty weather days, the bus is an option. 6 bedrooms, and we're going to take the top three. The top level has its own living room and bathroom, and the house has two kitchens, three bathrooms, two living rooms, and an office for our enjoyment. The only real downside is the utilities which are through the roof (old house, no insulation). Oh well. Now it's a matter of who are the two moving in this April, and who will wait for August. It's looking like Kendra and I are moving now and Sasha will follow us. But, we are looking for 2 other roommates (one of the girls we think is staying) so...if you can put up with us...oh yeah, and if you live in Provo, that's an important key point.
Celebrated Kendra's 20th birthday yesterday. We had fun. She asked for a strawberry cake with strawberry frosting, which was entirely too sweet, but we survived. Ryan ditched out on the party about the same time I did and ended up talking to me for a little while. Kendra returned to find her present from Sasha which was hidden in the shower (don't ask). That reminds me, I took some amazing video of the two of them this weekend. Seriously, you'd think we were drunk. We blame it on too much caffeine, but there's no way caffeine does that to people I swear...it'll be up on YouTube as soon as I find a spare moment.
Rumor has it I'm going to Anaheim this weekend. However, I can think of four times since my last trip to the Happiest Place on Earth that the Magic Kingdom has slipped through my fingers. See? I can't even bring myself to say it. Kendra's convinced that we can do a full day in...Disneyland...leaving Friday night around 7 and coming back at some point on Sunday. I'm trying to be excited, but...
1) I can't sleep in cars, so the idea of pulling an all-nighter before a day of constant motion is not appealing. That day of constant motion followed by thus far no where to stay Saturday night and an all-day driving trip on Sunday...yeah.
2) My parents will not pay for my ticket. Kendra's convinced her parents to pay for the ticket, but she's working on convincing them for Sasha and I as well. I'm not seeing this
3) We have no where to stay. Kendra's all for sleeping in the car at a Flying J. I'm less inclined.
4) My track record. I'm jinxed. I swear, I'm cursed to never enter that theme park again, I just know it
5) If my parents found out I pulled that on a regular weekend...sparks would fly.
6) My money's running short, unless I cut into my Dermatologist money, which probably isn't a good idea.
7) I have a project due on Monday.
8) I'm seriously jinxed.
9) I've got that queasy feeling in the pit of stomach
10) I'm jinxed.
11) I had a dream last night in which LA was completely barricaded off because of a terrorist attack and I was driving, and Kendra and Sasha were both drugged on Nyquil and didn't wake up, so I was forced to come up with something to do. Well, I didn't want to just go back to Provo, so I drove home...most depressing thing in the world.
It's just not good timing...at all. I'd have to skip the synagogue trip, and I've already agreed to go to Kingman with her a week from Friday. I want to go, but so many things (beyond my personal jinx) points to us not going. I see lots of reasons why we shouldn't. As much fun as it would be, and cool as it would be to meet
katshakespeare, I don't feel good about it, something's not right with doing it this weekend.
Maybe I'm just a worryer.
